  Pride Vineyard
This another winery that I've never been to, but have meant to go to for awhile. I've read several times about their consistently outstanding Merlots and they have been recently been recognized for their Cabernets.

Well, they were out of their Cabernet, except in a 5L bottle and the next release was coming in a few weeks. I liked the Merlot which I found very tasty and drinkable. I also found the Viogner to be a refreshing change from all of the oaky California Chardonnay's I've been drinking and bit more character than a sauvignon blanc.

I ended up purchasing one case of the Merlot, four bottles of the Viogner, and one bottle of their Viogner-based dessert wine.

Whitehall Lane Vineyard

After a very nice (but pricey) lunch at Pinot Blanc, we decided to stop by Whitehall Lane on our way over to S. Anderson winery. I've been to Whitehall Lane once before. Last year, Whitehall Lane's Reserve Cabernet was rated the top wine of the year in Wine Spectator. I wasn't lucky enough to purchase any of that, but I did purchase some of their Cabernet, both reserve and non-reserve, last year. Both were very impressive, chewy cabs, with the non-reserve being a decent value. I wanted to buy more, but they were out of those, so I took a (small) chance on their current crop. I bought two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc, one bottle of Merlot (new offering), one bottle of Cabernet, and one bottle of their Muscat.
