Safari West
Believe it or not, you can go on a Safari in wine country. There's a place called Safari West that's between Calistoga and Santa Rosa (it's near the Petrified Forest). Who knew? Andrea heard about it from a coworker. Of course, we had to go! It was fun. They loaded us up in jeeps and we drove around the preserve to see the animals. There was a good variety of animals (zebras, antelope, watusi, much more). There were more animals also in the pens (giraffes, camel, birds, cheetah, lemurs). We also stayed for dinner (BBQ), which was only okay for me since I didn't eat the ribs or chicken that they had. In any case, it was a fun little adventure.
