These is my first outing with my new digital camera, a Canon Powershot G1. Most of my pictures were highly overexposed in the mixed sunny/shady scenes. I did set my camera up for bracketing (+/- 1EV) and the -1EV shots came out okay. I have quite a bit to learn about photography technique with this camera. Kristine took pictures (see pictures 8-16) with my Olympus wC-2020, which seems to be much more forgiving when used in a simple point and shoot mode.

		The portrait mode on the camera is very convenient to use since it automatically sets a wide aperture for a shortened depth of field.
