Kunde Winery. We tasted about 10 wines. I bought 2 bottles of Cabernet Franc and 2 bottles of Gewurtztraminer.

 

 

St. Francis Winery. This is the new location and building for the winery. I always enjoy coming here and like many of their wines and am consequently a member of their wine club. We tasted 6-8 wines in the main tasting room and then 7 more in the reserve tasting room. I ended up buying 6 bottles of the Reserve Cabernet Franc (best Cab Franc I've ever tasted, although I haven't had many), 3 bottles of the King's Ridge Cabernet, 2 bottles of the Pagani Vineyard Reserve Zinfandel, and 1 bottle of the Soracco Reserve Merlot.

 

The garden area of Chateau St. Jean. We tasted 8-10 wines in the main tasting room. I bought 2 bottles of Pinot Blanc and Erin bought one.

 

 

We tasted 6 wines in the reserve tasting room in the Chateau.. Above, Erin is enjoying the 1997 Cinq Cepage and a plush leather chair. Erin bought one bottle of the 1997 Late Harvest Riesling which she describes as being like honey. Very tasty stuff.

 

Enjoying my glass of Cinq Cepage (still have 9 bottles of Cinq Cepage from Cost Plus. They are charging $70 a bottle now at the winery. Yikes!). I bought 3 bottles of the 1997 Late Harvest Riesling and the hat.

 

Cline Cellars. This winery is open a relatively late (6pm. also happens to be one of the first open (10am) too) and is on the drive out (or in) of Sonoma. It was almost 6pm and we were getting a bit hungry so we bought some cheese and crackers and scarfed that down as we tasted wine. We tasted 12 wines and I purchased 2 bottles of Viogner (my favorite white varietal), 2 bottles of Muscat dessert wine (always makes me think of Apple Jacks), and 4 bottles of late harvest Mouvedre (unique red dessert wine. Raisiny and a bit like a port).
