Weekend in Palm Springs - May 11-12

On a whim (we made our plans at 1am Saturday morning), we decided to go to Palm Springs for the weekend. We caught a morning flight to Ontario airport, picked up a rental car, and drove to Palm Springs. It was great to get away somewhere warm, to see a new town, and to give us a trial run for our upcoming vacation to Kauai in a couple weeks.

Bathing beauty poolside. It was great to hang out by the pool after we had done a a 5 mile run in the heat.
Lunch at Las Casuelas Terraza
Las Casuelas is a very popular restaurant in the main street of Palm Springs. The ambience was nice and having some live entertainment was enjoyable, but I'm sorry to say that the food was very unimpressive. We had much more interesting food at the Mexican restaurant up the street at Edgardo's.
