It drizzled from about noon onward so we were all pretty wet and cold. Fortunately, Aaron and I had tarps, along with my trekking poles, some rope, and some extra tent stakes (Moss tent stakes are the best!), we were able to fashion a very cozy dining tent over the picnic table. This made all the difference between a miserably wet and cold time and a very enjoyable, fun, and social evening.

Our dinner consisted of Velveeta macaroni and cheese with tuna (which basically turned it into tuna casserole), caesar salad, pate, cheeses (gruyere, roquefort), baby carrots, corn, wine (port and merlot), and coffee. It was definitely a gourmet meal for a backpacking outing.
