While we both still lived in LA, Bryan had been bugging me for year's to go shooting with him and we never got in sync to actually go. Well, we finally went while he's been up here, in training for his new job at Siebel during the week at at his brother's (Wayne) place in Pleasanton over the weekends.

This is the first time I had ever gone shooting so it was an interesting experience. We borrowed Wayne's guns. We started off at the targe range and shot Wayne's 9mm and his .357. The heft of the gun, the report of the gunshot, the kickback when the shot is fired, and the smell of the combusted gunpowder were all a unique part of the experience. My aim pretty much sucked, because I kept pulling shots down and to the right as I pulled the trigger. A few pointers from Bryan and Josh helped out a bit, but my aim left a lot to be desired.

me shooting the 9mm. Since I'm such a geek, you can see the outline of my Palm Pilot in my rear pocket.

Bryan shooting Gus' rifle. Bryan ended up aiming and shooting at someone else's target. Funny.
